Our Rockin' Herbal Blend

Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero) - a nourishing stimulant, adaptogen and a traditional aphrodisiac

The more familiar name for this botanical remedy is Siberian Ginseng, and its benefits for stress and energy are renowned. Results from extensive research by Russian scientists show it to be a powerful "adaptogenic" herb used to help the body's reaction to stress (physical, mental and emotional). This category of herbs assists in the body's "nonspecific resistance" to stress, fatigue, and disease. It is used in Russia and other former Soviet republics by athletes, industrial workers, and laypersons alike. The Chinese have long believed that regular use of Eleuthero Ginseng increases longevity and improves general health, appetite, and memory. It is now commonly used in the United States and Europe by athletes and those with active lifestyles as an herbal supplement to enhance energy.

Rhodiola -
  • Builds stamina, endurance, and well-being under conditions of exertion and sleep disruption
  • Uplifts mood and modulates physiologic stress reactions

Rhodiola has been used to support healthy energy levels for centuries in Russia, Scandinavia, and Iceland. Research demonstrates rhodiola reduces cortisol levels and boosts adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis. For those struggling with energy drain, rhodiola may support mental concentration and alertness and support healthy endurance levels.

"Rhodiola rosea is an exalted herbal stress “adaptogen.” Thriving in high altitudes and in nature’s most challenging climates, this most resilient herbal is intensively studied for enhancing concentration and endurance, uplifting one’s mental state, and supporting optimal immune, adrenal, and cardiovascular function even under conditions of severe stress. Widely used by Russian athletes and cosmonauts to increase energy, Rhodiola delivers the promise of an inner oasis of peace and energy in our hurly-burly world". (newchapter.com)

Gota Kola -

It contains no caffeine, yet it is used extensively to increase energy and vitality. The reason for this might be because it is said to assist with stabilizing the blood sugar level, which in turn would prevent hypoglycemia, mental fatigue, depression and confusion - or it could be because of the high concentration of thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2) and pyridoxine (vitamin B6) which assist to convert carbohydrates into glucose for FUEL for the brain and body as well as for normal nervous system functioning.

It has been widely used for a number of conditions, particularly in traditional Eastern health care. In Ayurveda, it is one of the chief herbs for revitalizing the nerves and brain cells. It is said to fortify the immune system, both cleansing and feeding it, and to strengthen the adrenals.
